Work At Home Site

I remember myself visiting a computer club on a Wednesday evening travelling to the centre of Birmingham to meet with fellow geeks in the back room of a pub to mess with and discuss computers and computer programs. Something that geeks played with, pushed forward by technology - it was not long ago that computers were classed as a hobby, business has drastically changed over the last decade or so.

Jump back to today and now even grandparents have Facebook and Twitter pages or email more than they use the telephone.

. . Etc, bought a large amount of stock had to employ staff to manage the shop, paid for shop fitting, you would have had to find premises in the right location. Own a shoe shop - now 20 years ago this would have cost you a fortune and taken several months to set up, the internet has revolutionised business - for example: You could decide that you want to say. The world has changed and the internet has made it a much smaller place - But the social aspect is only a very small part of this.

500 pounds and instead of selling shoes to people in your local village you could be selling shoes to people all over the UK, having spent less than 1, but decide this today and you could be up and running with a webshop by next week.

I come across people in business every day that do not even think they need a website, now for whatever reasons.

Do I Need A Website?

Then YES you do need a website, - If yes. Are you in business?

So why do you need a website?

Reasons such as: Substance or Traffic, businesses need websites for many different reasons.

Even the simplest 3 page websites can help to add substance to your new business efforts. They cannot find anything about you on the internet - it is as if your business does not exist - This then puts instant doubt into their minds - Not Good, they then cannot find a website, to get a better feel about you - But hey, take a look at your website to learn more about you, you give them a nice glossy expensive brochure then you leave - one of the first things most prospective clients will then do is look you up on the internet (If they have not already), you go out and meet with them, you telephone your prospective clients, you get your business leads from another source (not from the internet), so you think you do not need a website, okay.

Get your website right and people will come flocking to your business they cannot buy it, but if people do not know about it, you could have the best product in the world and sell it for the best price, Instead you are at the back of an industrial estate where at best two cars past you in a day, your product is great but your location is not - You are not on a main road into the city, okay so your business is great.

Therefore you need a website, so your convinced - You own a Business.

Pay a professional or Do It Yourself?

How hard can it be, many business owners then make the decision to design and build their website themselves to save money - after all?

You may be quite surprised that paying a professional to design your site is actually a lot cheaper than you think, a well built site will rank better with the major search engines such as Google and as for cost, - A professionally designed website will do much more for your business than a DIY one. The construction of it and then how it is marketed, there is much more involved in building a website than many people think - The design and visual look of it.
